Yoga Instructors, Nigel Wolf & Shéila Bessette, with friends as
we commune lakeside of Lac Aylmer, at our lovely and intimate Camp
Comfort Retreat Centre in the Eastern Townships; 2.5 hours outside
Montreal, 90 minutes from Quebec City and, 50 minutes from Sherbrooke.
During this intensive yet relaxing weekend, participants will be
guided through daily morning sessions, of Kundalini & Hatha Yoga
in combination with Meditation. Evenings will feature Shamanic Ceremony,
including Kirtan, Trance Dance and Guided Journeying. Talking Circles
are prominently supported with the practice of these ceremonies. There
will also be "free time" for your relaxation, to benefit
from nature with daily walks, the curing heat of the wood-burning
sauna & the stupendous winter view of Lac Aylmer from the hot
A vegetarian regime will be provided to please the palette &
reenergize the body & spirit. Enjoy and learn to prepare delicious
macrobiotic meals whilst learning how to make healthier cooked meals
that will enrich your daily life.
Over the course of this retreat participants will receive tools and
practices which can be incorporated into their lives long after the
closing circle, including: Kundalini and Hatha Yoga, Self-Guided Soul
Retrieval, Non-Violent Communication and use of the “Four Toltec Agreements”
(as taught by Don Miguel Ruiz).
The combination of Shamanic Healing, super-healthy lifestyle practices
such as yoga, healthy eating, the sauna, the spa, and the outdoors
will all help support your physical and mental detox and cleanse what
you've been promising yourself. This is a formula for success!

Reservations for your retreat
To reserve you place, we require a $150 deposit. Deposits are
not refundable, however if you are not able to attend we will
provide you with $75 credit toward another retreat. Checks or
money orders by mail must be received 2 full weeks before a
retreat. Balance of payment is requested 1 week before the retreat,
however, you may pay in cash when you arrive.

What to Bring
Please bring comfortable yoga and movement clothes, a journal
(optional), yoga mat (mats also available for rental), small towel
for yoga, eye pillow (optional), bathing suit, bath robe for the
spa, slip-on rubber shoes or sandals, walking shoes and warm clothes.
This rejuvenating retreat will feed your body, mind and spirit!
The yoga sessions will be a balanced combination of sustained
poses as well as poses flowing in a mindful progression from
one to another. Mindfulness and focus on breath are an integral
part of class. Attention is always given to basic alignment
& therapeutic principals.

Nigel Wolf is a Certified Kundalini Yoga Instructor
and Shiatsu Therapist. Originally from Toronto, Nigel has studied
many disciplines in the healing arts, including: Shiatsu Therapy
training with Master Mitsuki Kikkawa; Reiki, CranioSacral, and
Healing Through the Human Energy Field, with Barbara Ann Brennan.
He has been teaching Kundalini Yoga since 1996.
Nigel has an extensive background in shamanic studies, including
plant spirit medicine, sweat lodge, psychodrama and trance dance.
Nigel has studied with masters from many traditions, including:
Wilbert Alix (TranceDance), Elliot Cowan (Plant Spirit Medicine),
and Harold Dull (Watsu, Tantsu). Having studied theatre and
contact improvisation (dance) for many years, Nigel applies
his love of improvisation and spontaneous creation, to all healing
ceremoniesHis love of Naad Yoga (Sound Current and Vibration)
has led Nigel to compose original music for numerous mantras
and sacred songs.
He leads Kirtan with his band, the Shiva Ram Kirtan Experience.
Nigel gives workshops regularly in Naad Yoga. Nigel Wolf is
the resident director of the New Dawn Retreat, located in the
heart of Québec. He invites individuals – as well as small groups
- there, to experience “Vision Quest” and other sacred ceremonies,
including Sweat Lodge.

Shéila is a self-inspired, self-taught student
of life. Her yogic wisdom is the result of the many experiences
life handed to her through Grace. Life has sent many people
& adepts that provided her with the guidance she now shares
through living & teaching yoga today.
Her teaching style, following the basics of Hatha Yoga &
alignment principles of Anusara, is playful while promoting
self-expression through creativity & authenticity. Moreover,
Shéila enjoys tuning into her student’s needs & improvising
the details of what she will provide in class. At this time,
you can be surprised with yoga dance, partner yoga or restorative
with massage techniques.
When asked by a fellow yoga adept, “How has yoga been purposeful
to you personally and/or as a teacher?” Sheila responds, “I
discovered yoga in my mid 20’s after I decided that weight
training was not working for me. The physical challenge was
worthy, considering I was already buffed up in muscles not
quite natural for a woman! In this new found practice, I discovered
that my general sense of calm was far superior than I had
ever experienced & decided to continue a regular practice
of postural & meditative yoga. Throughout the years of
practice, I came to realize that yoga was not only a class
I attended, it was becoming a way of life. A way of life in
which I was flourishing in self-discovery & a broader
understanding of a truthful life. It wasn’t long before I
felt compelled to teach. In teaching yoga, I was deeply inspired
by the vulnerability of my students, and their willingness
to share their personal journey within the supported space
I provided. In this, the lessons of trust & love were
now mine to grasp So, to answer your question… how was yoga
been purposeful for me… well, it taught me that there is beauty
